A team led by Heather Crawford, staff scientist in Berkeley Lab’s Nuclear Science Division, has released the first experimental results from Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB), a DOE Office of Science user facility operated by Michigan State University. Their study, which measured how long exotic nuclei can survive at the edge of stability, was published today in Physical Review Letters.
