On Thursday, November 6, Nuclear Science Division researchers Reynold Cooper and Jayson Vavrek took part in an outreach event at San Francisco’s Exploratorium – After Dark: Nuclear Options focused on the science and technology of nuclear power, and -participants learned about the fundamentals of radiation detection and some of the advanced radiation imaging technologies being developed by the Berkeley Lab’s Applied Nuclear Physics Program.
