Daniela Leitner, a senior scientist in Berkeley Lab’s Engineering Division and division deputy, has been elected a 2022 American Physical Society (APS) Fellow. She is recognized for her work on electron cyclotron resonance ion sources that are widely used as high-charge state ion injectors for heavy ion facilities. She is currently working as the Lead for the Removal & Installation area for the ALS-U Project. Election as an APS Fellow recognizes advances in physics through original research and publication or innovative contributions in the application of physics.
